Alex was dragged up on a hill farm at Clydebank where his only career choices were shipbuilding or shoplifting so he ran away to be a livestock auctioneer and land buyer.
He is now one of the UKs most sought after events host and after dinner
speakers and is honoured to be exclusive compere and auctioneer for Sir Alex Ferguson and his associated charities and for Manchester United Football Club. He has also worked for and alongside a diverse range of world leading figures and organisations. Including Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Sir David Attenborough, HRH Princess Anne, HRH King Charles, Rt Hon Theresa May, Cristiano Ronaldo, Usain Bolt, Eric Cantona, Lamborghini, Rolex, Dior, UNICEF, Annie Lennox, Kevin Bridges, Peter Kay, Jose Mourinho, J K Rowling, The Lord Mayor of London and Chelsea, Rangers and Celtic Football Clubs.
His work at events has also led to him raising millions for good causes whilst conducting charity auctions. A highlight of which was raising £1 Million at the two Obama Dinners that he was honoured to perform at and achieving £200,000 for one lot at another gala dinner.
Alex lives near Loch Lomond and his “day job” sees him running his own holiday cottage and property business. He claims to be financially secure for the rest of his life, providing he dies next Thursday.
