Introducing Apple Pay For Payment Collection At Fundraising Events
We are excited to announce that we have integrated our fundraising events payment offering with Apple Pay, the fingerprint touch iPhone payment system.
Launched in 2016, Apple Pay is a new way for people to pay quickly and securely using either their iPhone or Apple Watch. By saving your debit card details to your device, users are able to make payments for online products, goods, or services seamlessly using Touch ID or by double clicking the Apple Watch. There is also a Secure Element so your financial information cant be extracted by anyone else, dramatically reducing the risk of fraud.
Here at Givergy, we are committed to offering the best possible payment experience for our users who participate in the auctions and pledge drives that we run in support of charities. Offering the latest technology from Apple Pay will ultimately help our charity partners raise more money in the simplest way possible.
Here’s how it works:
1. When a guest goes to check out on the Givergy system using an iPhone, assuming they have their Apple Wallet set up with a card present, they will see the black Apple Pay button.
2.When the guest clicks on the black pay button, a dialog box will appear at the bottom of the screen showing a payment summary, prompting the user to pay using Touch ID.
3.After the Touch ID has been confirmed, that’s it! The guest has now paid, raising more for charity at the touch of a button!
There is no limit to the amount that can be paid using Apple Pay. Customers will be able to use Apple Pay on any Apple Watch or iPhone model from the iPhone 5 onwards but if you want to use Apple Pay on a iPhone 5, 5s or 5c then it will need to be paired with an Apple Watch. While the majority of major banks support Apple Pay, not all do, so for a definitive list, please visit Apples website.
